-Performance United LLC bought a 380,000-square-foot warehouse at 5352 Performance Way that is fully occupied by LaCrosse
Footwear Inc. The seller of the building, a joint venture of Browning Investments and ProLogis, was represented by John
Huguenard
, Kim Estes and Angie Wethington of Colliers Investment
Services Group. Financing for the purchase was provided by a national life insurance company and arranged
by Jon Goldstein, Christian Miles and Phil Mudd, also
of Colliers Investment Services. The purchase price for the building, which was completed last March,
was not disclosed.
 

Leasing/leasing contracts

December 21, 2009

-CAN-AM Specialties leased 31,225 square feet at the Franklin Road Business Center, 2855 N. Franklin Road. Ryan
Kelly
and Tony Hupp of Summit Realty Group represented the tenant. The landlord, Franklin Road Realty
LLC, was represented by Brett Spitzer of NAI Olympia Partners.
 
-Campus Crusade for Christ
renewed its lease for 6,700 square feet of office space at Metroplex Office II in Castleton. Mike Hinker
of Summit Realty Group represented the tenant. Ted McClure of McClure Real Estate represented the landlord,
Two Metroplex LLC.

-RZ Automation Inc. leased 5,112 square feet of warehouse space at 15223 Herriman Blvd., Noblesville.
John Demaree and Brad Williams of Summit Realty Group represented the tenant. The landlord,
College Fund LLC, represented itself.

-David L. Judy, DDS, leased 3,156 square feet of office space at 8849 S.
Shelby St. Darrin L. Boyd and David A. Moore of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker represented
the landlord, NNN Southpointe LLC. The tenant represented itself.

-Moser Consulting Inc. leased 3,144 square feet
of office space at 6081 E. 82nd St. Steve Beals of Grubb & Ellis Harding Dahm & Co. represented the
tenant. The landlord, Brookfield Real Estate Opportunity Group, was represented by David A. Moore and Darrin
L. Boyd
of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker.

-Papa Murphy’s leased 1,204 square feet at Rockville Pointe,
a new retail center on State Road 36 in Avon. The landlord, Thompson Thrift, was represented by Carrie Thrift.
The tenant represented itself.

-DaVinci Nail Salon leased 1,807 square feet at Geist Landing, 11685 Olio Road,
Fishers. The landlord, Thompson Thrift, was represented by Carrie Thrift. The tenant represented itself.

-L’acquis Consulting Enterprises LLC leased 10,117 square feet of office space in the Precedent Office Park,
9229 Delegates Row. Matt Kiger of Halakar Real Estate represented the tenant. Rick Trimpe and
Tim Hull of CB Richard Ellis represented the landlord, HDG Mansur.

-The Centennial Group leased
2,956 square feet of office space in One College Park, 8910 Purdue Road. Matt Kiger of Halakar Real Estate
represented the tenant. The landlord, Zeller Management Group, was represented by Tristan Glover of Zeller.

 

Construction

December 21, 2009

-D.B. Klain Builders LLC, Carmel, has started a 1,162-square-foot tenant build-out for Edward Jones & Co. at 2159 Glebe St. The project is scheduled to be completed Jan. 5.

-GVK Contracting + Remodeling, Westfield, has completed a 35-day, 1,420-square-foot build-out for Saku Japan restaurant at Hamilton Town Center, Noblesville.

-Domain Contractors has completed a 6,000-square-foot office remodel for Caregivers Inc., 3536 Washington Blvd.

Housing

December 21, 2009

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity increased three-tenths of a percent for the week ended Dec. 11, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. Rates for 30-year loans increased to 4.92 percent from 4.88 percent the previous week. Fifteen-year mortgages were unchanged at 4.33 percent.

An item in last week’s Real Estate Weekly listed the wrong landlord for Providence Shoppes, 12545 Old Meridian St., Carmel. The landlord for the center, where Stacked Pickle leased 4,313 square feet, is Providence Partners LLC.

High school hoops coach arrested

Pike High School girls basketball coach Sara Strahm is facing a charge of child seduction after being accused of having a
sexual relationship with one of her players. The 28-year-old is on administrative leave following her arrest. Strahm was fired
from a past job at Danville High School because of an alleged affair with a female student. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.

Firefighters rescue residents from balconies

December 21, 2009

Wayne Township firefighters rescued several people from their west-side apartment balconies early Monday after responding to a reported kitchen fire. Crews who arrived at Mariner’s Village apartments shortly after midnight found the 22-unit, 3-story building consumed in flames. One resident sustained serious injuries and was taken to Methodist Hospital. Three others suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The local American Red Cross chapter is providing housing for some of the affected residents; others are staying with friends and family. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

AIT shares profit with employees – again
