Arrest made in Pizza Hut shooting

Police say an anonymous tip led to the arrest of two people in connection with the robbery and shooting of a Pizza Hut employee
Tuesday night. The suspects, Dustin Avant, 22, and Karlos Ward, 21, were arrested Friday morning. They face charges of robbery
with injury and criminal confinement for the shooting at the North Michigan Road restaurant. The victim, Terry Justice, remains
in stable condition at Wishard Hospital.
 

Girl assaulted in apartment

Indianapolis police are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl. Investigators say the girl was
attacked in her Heather Ridge apartment complex near West 34th Street and Interstate 74 by a man with a semi-automatic handgun.
Police say the girl lived in the building. She is being treated and examined at Riley Hospital.
 

Gunmen shoot McDonald’s employee

May 14, 2010

Police say a woman was shot Friday morning while making a deposit at a bank on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The shooting
happened about 9:45 in the 2800 block of North Gale Street, near a fire station. Several firefighters witnessed the incident.
Investigators think the McDonald’s employee may have been cased by the suspects. Police said she was alert when they
arrived. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
