Two Purdue University students were hurt in a small plane crash in northern Tippecanoe County late Tuesday afternoon. The students, Anthony Cole and Thomas Williams, both 22, are from West Lafayette. Thieves smashed their way into a northwest-side dialysis clinic early Wednesday and stole 18 Dell laptop computers, Indianapolis police say. Staff at DSI Northwest Indianapolis Renal Center said the computers did not have any patient information stored on them. Twelve patients missed their appointments while the crime was being investigated and are being rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon or Thursday.
Fishers police on Tuesday issued an alert about home break-ins, prompted by reports of six burglaries and one attempted burglary in the past month. In each case, the thieves kicked in or pried open the front door, usually during daylight hours. Jewelry and electronics were taken from the homes.
