Rathskeller reopens after crane accident

The Rathskeller restaurant in downtown Indianapolis has reopened a day after a 30-ton crane collapsed on its patio, setting
off the sprinkler system. Water damaged parts of the building, but the manager said workers have been able to clean up the
mess. It's still unclear when the YMCA at the historic Athenaeum would reopen. That part of the building suffered structural
and water damage.

Straub: No intention of resigning

Indianapolis Public Safety Director Frank Straub said Tuesday morning that he has no intention of resigning. Straub said the
department will get through the current turmoil brought on by several high-profile cases involving police misconduct or mistakes.
Over the weekend, Straub announced the demotion of three high-ranking police officers, citing lack of leadership in the botched
investigation of officer David Bisard. Members of the Baptist Alliance called for Straub’s resignation at Monday night's
City-County Council meeting. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity increased 13 percent for the week ended Aug. 13, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. The rate for 30-year mortgages increased to 4.6 percent from 4.57 percent the previous week. The rate for 15-year mortgages grew to 3.99 percent from 3.95 percent.

The seller, Best Flooring Real Estate Holdings LLC, was represented by Mike Alboher of Alboher Development Co. Inc.

Three injured in downtown crane collapse

Investigators haven't figured out what caused a crane to tip over Monday morning while crews were working
on a chimney
at the Rathskeller restaurant on East Michigan Street. Three people suffered minor injuries.
