-GVK Contracting + Remodeling, Westfield, has completed a 35-day, 1,420-square-foot build-out for Saku Japan restaurant at Hamilton Town Center, Noblesville.

-Domain Contractors has completed a 6,000-square-foot office remodel for Caregivers Inc., 3536 Washington Blvd.

Property taxes are out of whack

I have always found Morton Marcus’ columns both entertaining and informative. I read the Dec. 7 column, in which
Marcus seems to insinuate that property taxes were acceptable as they were and do not require modifications. As a resident
of Marion County, I could not disagree more.

Palin’s Indiana book signings draw hundreds

Hundreds of people were lined up at 7 a.m. Thursday ahead of Sarah Palinâ??s appearance at the Borders Books and Music store
in Noblesville. The former Alaska governor is due to arrive at 6 p.m. at Hamilton Town Center as part of her â??Going Rogueâ??
book tour. The 1,000 wrist bands that entitle fans to buy two copies of the book and have it signed were all handed out. About
700 people were in line at 7:30 a.m. at a Meijer store in Fort Wayne for Palinâ??s noon appearance. Fox 59 will have more
at 4 p.m.

Suburban counties building outer loop to avoid Indianapolis

Counties wanting to speed traffic among suburbs are building highways to avoid having to travel into Indianapolis. The result,
a 100-mile outer loop beyond Interstate 465, won’t be completed for years, and it won’t be built to consistent standards,
but it might help ease congestion.
