I hope the city intends to initiate some claw back options given this developments heavy subsidies.
Maybe Dr. Dave could swap his current building for Keystone’s 1405 BR Ave. building and move his business away from the awful traffic on Westfield & College? Then Keystone could put faculty or student parking on his site, which would “square off” the whole mixed-use site.
Excellent idea!
Except that runs counter to the intent of mixed use typology along a BRT line.
Doubt the 1405 BR Ave building has the zoning for a retailer use
What happened to the Purdue Polytechnic discussions for the BR High School site?
Can we time/date stamp Bess’s statement about “40%” of the students using the Red Line. It will be humorous in about 3 years, when the real number is about 5%
Are you talking about putting a school and apartments in at the intersection of Broad Ripple Ave and College? Are they insane? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. Traffic at that intersection is already beyond horrible.
if building a school and multi-unit housing is the stupidest thing you’ve ever heard of, then I have to question why you haven’t been exposed to more things
Density, schools, and bus lines don’t cause traffic. Sprawl and cars cause traffic. It’s not that difficult to understand.
Are there any updates on this project?
