  1. Might be a good time to encourage residential and commercial customers to install rooftop and community solar. Six months downtime twice seems less reliable than advertised. Plus all the heavy metals in the soil, water and air have negative impacts on Hoosiers’ health

    1. This is a gas fired plant, but it sits on the site of former coal plant, so while there are no new heavy metals going into the ground, this site does have several unlined coal ash ponds on the white river flood plain.

  2. Would it be too much for the IURC to require that utility bills actually explain how they calculated the amount due? There’s never an explanation of how much they charge per kWh or how the amount per kWh changes based on how much energy is used. Is it like Texas where the rate charged can change every five minutes?

  3. Sounds to me after seeing news of plant issues and outages over the last year that AES is clueless as to how to operate a power utility. The consumer should not have to pay for their incompetence. When is the state regulatory commission going to do something about AES?
