Are there any Biologists on the Biden Administration?
Ask the Supreme Court
TWO WEEKS TO FLATTEN THE CURVE
LMAO
Remember people…your vote actually matters. Someone actually voted for someone who appointed these knuckleheads!
“the CDC had been hoping to roll out a more flexible masking strategy” so this sounds like more of this BS after this latest extension ends. What will they mandate, masks on planes but not in airports? This will never end.
Just assume flying is a risk. One may be seated next to someone with Covid for a short flight or and multi-hour flight in a crowded closed space (with great air exchange). Would this be more risky than crowded indoor dining?
And what might be the individual level of risk? Those who are risk averse may choose to avoid aircraft. Others who may be less risk averse or unconcerned would board without hesitation. And airlines certainly look forward to (a) profits and (b) elimination of mask-related altercations.
Many jurisdictions have indeed relaxed mask mandates. Not unexpectedly, infections have increased in some areas. This may be the case with airlines.
Airlines have long touted the efficient air exchange in aircraft. Perhaps May 3 will become mask-mandate freedom day for the airline industry. Should infections arise thereafter, then all will better understand the risk. Apparently, airlines feel the risk is worth it. For those traveling in the future, they must decide — but have the choice to continue with a mask, use another mode, or not travel.
