There ain’t a dime’s worth of difference between this Republican and this Democrat.
Kyle Walker is one of the best legislators we have. Need him to keep this seat.
Not mentioned in this article is that Jocelyn Vare is active in the local arts scene, which is how I first met her, long before she expressed any interest in politics and public service. She has been a leader in Nickle Plate Arts and Fishers Music Works and other organizations. She is a tireless and dedicated public servant and I am happy to call her a friend. She listens to all viewpoints, both liberal and conservative, and when she ran successfully for Fishers City Council, she was endorsed by a group of local fiscal conservatives. She continues to vote more conservatively on the Council than the local Republicans, much to their consternation. I hold no position with her campaign, and nobody asked me to make this comment, but I am happy to do so and to urge my neighbors to vote for Jocelyn Vare.
If we want better moderate Republican legislation from the Statehouse, the last thing we need is to keep the super majority entrenched with their 80-20 advantage in a 60-40 state. Jocelyn Vare, like she’s been on the Fishers City council, would be a moderating public servant.
