The Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel has a new general manager: Douglas Y. Tatum, who has been executive director
of the Arts Foundation of Kansas City and Folly Theater the past 17 years.

During his tenure in Kansas City, Mo., Tatum led a $2.1 million renovation of the theater, which is listed on the National
Register of Historic Places, and directed a $2.5 million capital campaign.

Tatum, who starts work July 26, will be responsible for working with the center’s resident companies; developing rental
policies; and supervising hall rentals, food and beverage management, house management, ushers, and security.
