Bluebridge Digital, a Fishers-based firm that runs a software-as-a-service mobile app platform, announced Wednesday that it has landed another $2 million in venture capital.

The equity round was led by Carmel-based Allos Ventures and St. Louis-based Cultivation Capital. It's the third round of financing for the company in less than a year, and the first round to utilize institutional investors.

CEO Santiago Jaramillo, who founded the 33-person firm in 2011, said the company has raised $3.5 million since last September. It plans to use the lion's share of the recent capital infusion to enhance its product offerings as consumers increasingly spend time using mobile apps, he said.

"The competition is just heating up, and we want to be in a significant position of strength to be a winner when these markets consolidate and there are a few clear winners," Jaramillo said.

The software-as-a-service firm runs a custom-app platform for organizations to create and manage mobile apps for their users. The company recently expanded into larger offices in Fishers.

Bluebridge primarily serves tourism agencies, including the country of South Africa; universities such as Purdue; and churches with as many as 20,000 members. It recently expanded its client base to include corporate enterprise customers.
