Indianapolis-based Angie’s List has tapped the head of a global digital staffing services firm as its board chairman.

Chuang Chuang

John Chuang, co-founder and CEO of Boston-based Aquent LLC, fills the role of retiring Angie’s List director Keith J. Krach of California, who is CEO of DocuSign and co-founded the B2B firm Ariba.

Chuang founded MacTemps, a temp agency for desktop publishers, which later became Aquent.

Like Angie’s List CEO Bill Oesterle, Chuang has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Chuang has been an Angie’s List board member since 1996.

“In connection with his appointment to Chair, Mr. Chuang has requested his annual director compensation be reduced to $1, which the company has granted,” Angie’s List said in a press release announcing Chuang’s new role.
