Do Indiana’s legislators know that the Corporations buying their votes to protect corporations do not vote in the people’s elections of legislators ?
Legislature should be protecting real people from predatory responsibility shirking corporations that only exist on paper .
One must wonder how big the contribution was to get a representative to advocate for giving Uber a pass on checking the backgrounds of their drivers. Having a family member who was assaulted by a taxi driver, Representative’s Lehman’s bill disgusts me. Is he concerned about Uber pulling out of Berne???
No corporation should have this exemption. Who do they think they are?
Why stop at Lyft and Uber, what about all of the other companies who utilize “contractors” to deliver their services such as DoorDash, Amazon, etc. Or let’s keep on going and exonerate all employers from any actions by their employees when at work. Yes, it would be interesting to see the $$’s that went into the pockets for this legislation. And politicians wonder why they get poor ratings and low scores for respect.
