Westfield is certainly getting apartment heavy. They need to remember that in 20 years if not shorter these are going to be a lower class apartments with lower rent because there will be new apartments being built that are going to be nicer and offer more amenities than what’s currently being offered.
One only has to look at the proliferation of apartments in the castleton area along shadeland ave. and what was once The Meadows on 38th street. At one time The Meadows were considered upscale.
I thought the Westfield mayor recently said “no more apartments”?
As another poster mentioned, these apartments years from now won’t be upscale. He mentioned The Meadows. Also the former Brendonwood Apartments at
56th and 465 on the east side were once the place to live. Not so much anymore. They are now called the Residents On 56th Street.
