  1. It seems we have an epidemic level interest in building massive data centers in the Indy metro area. We must be seen as cheap, willing, and easy, to be the center of national and international attention.? We don’t have the water resources, and don’t have the existing electrical generation supply to support all these out of state owned facilities. Plus, the massive waste, or misuse, of our natural resources and farm land is becoming somewhat critical. One has to realize these out of state investment and venture firms don’t really care of our local long term sustainability .

  2. A map of the proposed area would be a helpful addition to the story. (Since I looked it up, this is basically everything west and south from Tuttle Orchards to the NE corner of the Mount Comfort Airport…which raises the question of whether the Tuttle property is included.)

    1. From the article: On Tuesday night, Tuttle Orchards sent an email to its patrons sharing that the project would abut its pick-your-own apples area and pumpkin patch.

  3. Hancock County needs to quit with all of the “build it and they will come’ dreams. Just look at all of the huge warehouses which were built with this dream in this area over the past ten years and have yet to be used by anyone. I estimate that only half of the warehouses are in use.
I understand that that “For King, the focus of the Hancock County project largely rests on getting the site ready for future development” but removing farmland from ever being used again for farming just because future development might happen needs to stop.
