  1. “The Tax Policy Center, which provides nonpartisan analysis of tax and budget policy, projected the bill would result next year in a $150 tax break for the lowest quintile of Americans, a $1,750 tax cut for the middle quintile and a $10,950 tax cut for the top quintile. That’s compared with what they would face if the 2017 tax cuts expired.”

Republicans want to force our kids into debt slavery to save less 2k a year on their tax bill. They want to fiscally bankrupt the country to match their morally bankrupt spirits.

    1. ?….This post is absurd!! Do you know why the “lowest quintile” gets a lesser nominal amount???? IT’S BECAUSE THEIR TAX RATE IS THE LOWEST!! To further explain to you, if I cut a very small pie into equal pieces, you get a small piece…if I cut a very large pie into equal pieces, you get a bigger piece…does this help you at all? Admittedly, not a perfect analogy but surely you get your comparing smaller incomes and smaller taxes compared to higher incomes, higher tax rates and larger cuts….get it now??? As far as fiscally “bankrupting the country”, perhaps you’ll join me in calling for the codification of all DOGE cuts!

    2. John, your position recently has been that if we don’t get our $150-2k tax cuts, we’d all be irrevocably damaged. I’m saying the opposite is true. The tax cuts do the damage and your grandchildren will have to pay for it. You’ll be long gone when it’s time to pay the pied piper. Why do you think the few billion that doge was actually able to cut makes any difference? Is it because you only watch OAN and only read Trump tweets?

  2. This seems coounter to all of the rederick of Making America Healthy Again, how is that going to work with Medicaid cuts, SNAP cuts, lower support for public health initiatives yet they complain about healthcare costs. What BS!

    1. “In many ways, the package is a repudiation of the agendas of the last two Democratic presidents, a chiseling away at Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act, and a pullback of Joe Biden’s climate change strategies in the Inflation Reduction Act.”

No, it’s a repudiation of every president since FDR outside of maybe Nixon. Eisenhower and Reagan would be primaried out of today’s Republican Party. And they’re not behaving in such a way that they care about the next scheduled election. I wonder why that is.

      “You’re being hysterical!”

I’ve been right about Trump since he came down the escalator.
