  1. More sick and dead people just because a large percentage of the population is too selfish to wear a mask and abide by social distancing guidelines. Now we need to focus on convincing people to get a vaccine so that we can actually achieve herd immunity. Hopefully most people aren’t too selfish for that.

  2. No, we have “more sick and dead people” because this is how airborne viruses work at this time of year. I was telling people in early March that our numbers will start rising starting the last couple weeks of March. Our numbers will continue comparatively upwards through April. They will taper off quite a bit starting end of April/early May. By early June, they will be practically bottomed out.
Wearing the masks and getting vaccines are nice. But, look at the data. We have 1.3 million fully vaccinated. That’s approximately 19% of our population. Yet, the positivity rates are rising. And, don’t give me the “excuse” that people are not wearing masks. When I go to church, to the store, to the one movie I’ve seen this year, etc., the vast majority if not 100% are wearing masks. There are a ton of factors that determine why someone gets Covid (or has enough symptoms from Covid to get tested). Masks are one part.
My recommendation is to focus on your Vitamin D levels and building your immune system. Try to get outside while it’s sunny.
