“Diminished budgets, staffing reductions and postponed projects…” Fantastic!!!!
Indiana municipalities need to aggressively modernize operations. Constraining the supply of tax dollars is the only way to force them to make needed changes.
Your statement is talking outside of both sides of your mouth. To aggressively modernize operations to be more efficient…actually needs tax dollars to complete. Modernizing and increased efficiency comes from technology, removing paper based forms and no hand-touching government services. You sound like someone who was a fan of DOGE. Well guess what, they spent a lot of taxpayer dollars to modernize and implement-without really must to show for it. You want them have less tax dollars to modernize operations…get ready for more in-person visits, delayed decision making, and more paperwork and user fees. It takes dollars to modernize and be more efficient.
You get what you pay for. If low taxes were what attracted people and businesses, then east and west coasts would be seeing a mass exodus.
