The governor's office says Gov. Mike Pence plans to sign the bill during a ceremony Tuesday. Legislators gave final approval last week to the measure that gives patients access to treatments after they've cleared the first phase of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval process.
The so-called right-to-try laws already are in place in eight states, including Michigan, Missouri and Arizona. About two dozen other states are considering similar proposals this year.
Supporters say it would help shorten patients' wait time for potentially lifesaving drugs since the federal process can take about 10 to 15 years to complete.
