The Rush Limbaugh Show—set to be dropped by WIBC-FM 93.1 next month—will continue to be heard on Indianapolis radio airwaves without interruption after being picked up by iHeartMedia Inc.

iHeartMedia Indianapolis announced Wednesday that it will begin airing Limbaugh live on weekdays on a new local station, 97.5 FM, beginning Monday, July 6, from noon to 3 p.m. It will air the same time on iHeartMedia’s WNDE-AM 1260.

Limbaugh’s popular conservative talk show is scheduled to be aired by WIBC for the final time on Friday, July 3, after 22 years on the Emmis Communications-owned station.

Nationally syndicated by iHeartMedia subsidiary Premiere Networks, Limbaugh is heard on nearly 600 stations and is the highest-rated national radio talk show in America, according to Premiere. The show is heard by up to 20 million people each week, Premiere said.

"Rush continues to be national radio’s dominate talk personality. We’re excited about the opportunity to have Rush join the iHeartRadio team on 97.5FM and 1260AM,” Rick Green, market president for iHeartMedia Indianapolis, said in a written statement.

iHeartMedia said 97.5 FM is expected to sign on in late June. It will also simulcast WNDE’s Query & Schultz sports-talk show on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  and the FOX Sports Radio Network the remainder of the week.

FM 97.5 previously was used locally as a broadcast translator station. iHeartMedia is acquiring the translator from Educational Media Foundation.
