Vote against ‘cap and trade’

I urge Sen. Evan Bayh to vote against the “cap and trade” legislation pending in the Senate. The proposed taxes
on energy will negatively impact all Hoosiers, by hurting families and businesses and slowing our already troubled economy.

The legislation proposes a tax on anything that emits carbon, such as driving a car or heating your home.

The point of the legislation is to help counter the negative effects of carbon emissions on our environment, which
I agree with wholeheartedly. The problem is that families are going to be asked to foot the bill at a time when we can’t
afford it.
