Subscribe NowFlexware Innovation Inc., a 21-year-old software development and engineering services firm based in Fishers, said Thursday that it plans to spend $8 million on an expansion that will create 68 high-wage jobs over the next four years.
The company said it will renovate and update equipment at its 10,000-square-foot facility at 9128 Technology Lane, west of the Interstate 69 and State Road 37 exit. The improvements are slated to be begin early next year and be completed in 2019.
The company said it is also considering building a facility in the future.
The renovation will support “increased demand for highly-integrated manufacturing and internet of things solutions for its clients,” the firm said. The redesigned floor space will include an open floor plan, focus rooms, IoT lab space, meeting rooms, and presentation and video-conference capabilities.
Flexware Innovation employs more than 60 people, including employees at its two Indiana locations, as well as remote workers across the country.
The company is already hiring for business intelligence and software developers, as well as automation and computer-integrated manufacturing engineers. The new positions are expected to offer average salaries of almost $100,000 annually, about 75 percent higher than the Hamilton County average wage.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Flexware Innovation up to $1 million in conditional tax credits and up to $112,500 in training grants based on the job-creation plans. The incentives hinge on the company’s ability to meet hiring goals.
Flexware Innovation clients include Fortune 500 customers in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, industrial manufacturing, steel, and food and beverage industries. It offers software development, automation engineering, business intelligence, consulting and manufacturing services.
