  1. Does anyone know if they plan to do something similar to the other reservoirs/ waterways listed in the article, Morse, Geist, White River. 25 million gallons a day is a lot of water, even if spread over multiple sources.

  2. Why is it supposedly horrible to tap into the Wabash River aquifer for LEAP – which has enormous water resources far beyond what anyone along it could ever use – but somehow ok to drain the Eagle Creek Reservoir?

  3. The waterline at Eagle Creek was down several feet last summer due to natural drought conditions. I hope there’s some mechanism that takes environmental conditions into account before they suck the reservoir dry.

    1. Co-sign. It’s rather ironic considering it was J.K. Lilly Jr. who owned land that is now Eagle Creek Park, and donated it so it would be protected. I wonder how protected it now will be given the Lilly corporation’s Lebanon project water supply needs and ensuing wastewater.

  4. A T.W. Moses Plant to the Zionsville pumping station connection makes sense. From there the connection to LEAP is fairly short. Given the growth of Zionsville, I wonder how much will end up staying there and not get pushed on to LEAP. I suppose it could mean that by satisfying Zionsville, water sources closer to LEAP won’t need to be directed south and can serve it.
