Wow! Huge for the city, and future generations.
Very positive for Purdue and the city. Now one wise-crack: I’m wondering when Braun and the MAGA boys at the Statehouse start meddling with Purdue like they’re doing with IU?? That said, Boiler Up!
Mitch Daniels already righted the ship at Purdue years ago. that is why they are doing so well now. been kicking IU’s butt for years…
Good to see Purdue is looking 50 years out, a rare move in most of Indiana and even Indianapolis. The statements regarding the Indiana Avenue area leave me wondering what the local neighbors and stakeholders have discussed and brought to the table for future development? Hope it’s more than historical markers and signs of what used to be.
I think one way to honor the black heritage in that area is to help create and sustain classic blues and jazz music in that area. Indy should strive to be “Nashville North” with various areas housing different music genres. That area should reflect the history and heritage of such performers as Wes Montgomery, etc.
