A restaurant and brewery will open this spring on the first floor of the Allied Solutions building in Carmel’s Midtown.

Fork+Ale House, owned by Noblesville residents Chris and Amy Long, is expected to open at 350 Veterans Way in late April. The restaurant is currently under construction.

The brewery and restaurant will occupy 3,200 square feet of retail space on the first floor of the Allied Solutions building, which opened in 2018. The building’s other tenant is F.C. Tucker Co.

Chris Long told IBJ he and his wife have more than 15 years of experience working in the restaurant business and look forward to owning a restaurant in Midtown, which is currently being developed.

Fork+Ale will operate along the Monon Trail, which is being expanded and redeveloped through Carmel’s Midtown to create a plaza that’s eventually expected to host concerts and have outdoor games, like bocce ball and pool.

“It is just going to be unbelievable,” Long said.

With the Monon upgrades in mind, the restaurant will also have patio seating and a garage door that will be open when weather is nice. Altogether, the restaurant will be able to seat up to 200 people.

In addition to brewing its own beer, the restaurant will also serve 18 guest taps, cocktails and wine.

While the restaurant has yet to release its full menu, Long told IBJ it will include house made pizza and smoked meats, like chicken wings and pork. Long described the restaurant as a “scratch kitchen.”

When the restaurant opens this spring, the brewery will debut four of its own beers: Beehive Blonde, Winking Cedar Brown Ale, Hopping Hound IPA and Wicked Seven Wheat.

The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Long said Carmel, especially Midtown, is a unique market for restaurants because it provides four strong busy times: Lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night.

He expects Fork+Ale will compliment many of the restaurants already in the area, including the Sun King Taproom & Distillery, which opened in Midtown last summer.
