
Local real estate developers join Big Red Liquors ownership

The new Vine & Table location at the southeast corner of College Avenue and Kessler Boulevard follows the original shop in Carmel. A liquor store chain acquired the business last year.
The wine shop, launched in Carmel by local caterer Joe Husar, was purchased last year by Big Red Liquors, which is bringing the store to the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood.
Project Pie plans to construct a stand-alone building near Meijer on the northeast side. Meanwhile, Big Red Liquors enters the downtown market by purchasing the Kahn’s store on North Pennsylvania Street.
The Bloomington-based company followed its acquisition of United Package Liquors by acquiring a vacant, 33,000-square-foot building on U.S. 31.
