Alisha Bernhardt, a police officer with Indianapolis Public Schools, has made it to the Hollywood round of "American Idol." She wore her badge and police T-shirt in hopes of setting herself apart during the auditions in St. Louis. Bernhardt was among 10,000 people who showed up for the auditions.
A bratwurst dish served at the Schnitzelbank Restaurant in Jasper took the top prize in the Super 46 competition, a promotional contest conducted by tourism officials to draw attention to the best sandwiches in the state. The bratwurst topped the Mile-High Club served at Rock-Cola 50s Café in Indianapolis.
