Zionsville residents could soon be asked to vote on a tax levy to increase school funding. The school district’s superintendent
plans to ask the school board Monday night to approve putting a referendum on November’s ballot. The money is needed
to support the district's general operating budget. If the board votes for the idea, leaders will decide how much of a

Indianapolis firefighters needed 20 minutes to control a chemical fire at Superior Solvents and Chemicals, 400 W. Regent
St., Monday morning. A worker was pouring caustic soda beads into a 1,000-gallon tank of methanol when the chemicals flashed
and caught insulation above the tank on fire. No one was hurt or exposed to the chemicals.
