At least four people were taken to the hospital Monday morning, including one person in critical condition, following a series
of related crashes on the south side of Indianapolis. Police said two men in a Pontiac Firebird drove away from one accident
scene after crashing into another vehicle. While fleeing, they tried to run a red light at Shelby Street and Southern Avenue,
but were struck by a truck with three children inside. The truck then crashed into a red Corvette. Fox59 will have more at

Not-for-profit Keep Indianapolis Beautiful has been given a $10,000 dollar grant from the Alliance for Community Trees and
the Home Depot Foundation to help with its “2,012 by 2012” tree-planting initiative. The money will help the organization
plant 2,012 trees on the near east side in time for the 2012 Super Bowl at Lucas Oil stadium. The plan is part of a bigger
goal in which the group hopes to plant 100,000 trees in the next seven years.
