Health reform protesters targeting WellPoint meeting

A statewide coalition of 45 groups says it plans to protest what it says are “bloated administrative costs” and excessive executive salaries during WellPoint Inc.’s annual meeting May 16. Hoosiers for a Common Sense Health Plan, which includes the United Auto Workers, Citizens Action Coalition and Sisters of Providence, wants single-payer universal health insurance.

The Indianapolis advertising firm Roman BrandGroup has landed a contract with the Indianapolis Airport Authority to lure retailers to the new midfield terminal, which is scheduled to open in late 2008. Reverse 911 creator bought by California firm

Sigma Communications LLC, the Indianapolis company that created the Reverse 911 emergency notification system, has been acquired by PlantCML of Temecula, Calif., for an undisclosed price. Indiana bank stocks have taken a beating on Wall Street over the past year, lagging behind larger peers as the entire industry rides out an unfavorable environment.
