Snow expected in central Indiana

A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of central Indiana until 1 p.m. Friday. Indianapolis could see 2 or 3 inches of snow. The snow is expected to start off light and slowly pick up through the afternoon and evening. Strong wind gusts also are expected.

Lilly’s Zyprexa pact with health providers wins approval

Eli Lilly and Co. has won approval of a $4.5 million settlement with five union health funds and an insurer that alleged improper marketing of the company's best-selling medication, Zyprexa, raised their costs.

Firefighters hurt in warehouse blaze

January 12, 2012

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries after battling a warehouse fire on the southwest side of downtown Lebanon Thursday morning. As many as 40 firefighters from Lebanon and Thorntown responded to the 2 a.m. blaze two blocks south of State Road 32. Two long metal buildings housing tires and equipment for Sun Communications, an underground boring company, were destroyed. Nearby residents were temporarily evacuated from their homes due to heavy smoke. A cause is under investigation.

Muncie pastor faces molesting charges

A Muncie pastor will be back in court Wednesday for his trial on child molestation charges. Opening arguments took place Tuesday. Matthew Kidd, 55, is accused of molesting three teenaged brothers. He was charged back in 2009, but the case is just now going to trial. Kidd denies the allegations.
