  1. All great plans, although somewhat interesting and perplexing that with historically 60-80 artist tenants in the complex that they are focusing on a black artist event. So perpetuating the passe BLM movement remains important a year later? Once again seems contrived and actually the opposite of inclusiveness and diversity. The Stutz artist tenants have actually always been a diverse group without corporate guilt deciding race, color, and creed!

    1. Systemic racism didn’t disappear last year. You’re choosing to be ignorant. The fact you’re upset about a three day event actually means it might be more than ignorance. Celebrating Black artists shouldn’t offend you.

  2. Wish them well, but the plan sounds a lot like trying to please everyone and potentially not pleasing anyone. The quirky unique character of the building was its biggest asset. I hope that doesn’t get lost.

  3. I went to Stutz on Friday to pick up a piece of art. The tenant I spoke to decided not to renew at the end of their contract in November after 7 years. They said as many as 50 of the tenant have decided to move out.

    1. I think this is why the new owner is investing heavily in the buildings. The expanded uses will bring more life – and visitors – to the site, and the should be a boon to the artists and other retail tenants.
