The Indiana State Police have joined the social networking age.
Superintendent Paul Whitesell said Thursday that the lightning-fast communication of the State Police's Facebook page
and its Twitter account give the agency one more way to "reach out to the public."
The State Police Twitter
account is now providing followers with updates on traffic and weather problems along state roadways,
as well as information about criminal investigations that could affect public safety.
The agency's Facebook page includes recent news releases, videos and pictures. It can be found on Facebook at: Indiana
State Police Public-Information-Office.
