I’m a regular reader of [Bill Benner’s] column. Matter of fact, I read the columns written by you and Bruce Hetrick before I read the front page. I just finished the Feb. 14 issue and you gave me a scare. As I read along, I thought, “Oh no, is he hanging it up?” meaning, “Is this his last column?”
Whew! It was not. I grew up in Indy in the ’50s (Manual 1959 grad) and enjoy most all sports. I grew up with only brothers, had only sons and now have only grandsons, so I have a perspective from an active point of view.
Keep on typing. I’ll look forward to continued columns. I particularly enjoy how you cut to the chase and call ’em as you see ’em most often.
