A semi carrying hazardous materials caught fire after an accident at about 3 a.m. Friday, causing the closure of eastbound Interstate 70 in Hancock County near Post Road. The driver, 51-year-old Marcus Moore, of St. Louis, said he lost control after a tire blew out. The vehicle, which was hauling 3,500 pounds of a flammable resin solution used to make plastic products, hit a guard rail and sign post. Moore was flown to Wishard Hospital in serious condition. The highway may not reopen until Friday afternoon.
