The rankings, released nationally Tuesday by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, ranked Boone County second in overall health and Hendricks County fifth. The study found Marion County has the highest teen birth rate and the highest percentage of children living in poverty. Madison County has the highest unemployment rate and the state’s highest smoking rate.
