MacAllister’s Aug. 5 Forefront column “Bring back the CCC for troubled youth.” Dope, gangs, crime. A disappointing educational system. Our staggering economic base supplanted with food stamps and unemployment compensation. Declining church influences. Sagging morality. He mentions it all.
As he says, the disgrace is not that it exists, but that so little is done to rectify or eliminate it.
I also say loud and clear, bring back effective leadership. When we finally elect leaders, we will see change. Until then, all we will see is more of the same, just rhetoric and pandemic excuses.
