A troubled Indiana money manager accused of trying to fake his death by parachuting from his plane to escape financial ruin has been found competent for a June trial. A federal judge in Pensacola, Fla., ruled today that Marcus Schrenker should face trial on charges of intentionally crashing the plane and placing false distress calls. The 38-year-old also faces millions in judgments and penalties in Indiana related to his failed business dealings. His attorney says Schrenker was temporarily insane when he fled Indiana in his private plane.
