Gov. Mike Pence has tapped a new executive director for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
Pence said Wednesday that David Kane of Elwood would take over management of the agency on Nov. 24.
Kane has served as federal security director for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration since 2005. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security appointed him as the federal coordinating official for the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis.
He replaces John Hill, who took a job earlier this year as Pence's deputy chief of staff as part of an internal shake-up in the governor's office.
