Local software firm CTI Group names new leader

Indianapolis-based business software firm CTI Group Holdings Inc. on Wednesday announced the appointment of Manfred Hanuschek as its new CEO and president.

Hanuschek has been CTI’s chief financial officer since 2000. He’s served as CTI’s interim CEO and president since Jan. 1, following the retirement of John Birbeck, who stepped down after leading the company for more than 13 years.

CTI also promoted Nathan Habegger to chief financial officer. Habegger has been CTI’s vice president of finance since June 2005.

CTI, founded in 1989, makes a range of software for communication service providers. The company reported revenue of $12.1 million and a profit of $682,215 through the first nine months of 2014.

Shares in CTI traded at 36 cents Thursday morning, unchanged over the last six trading days.
