The Indiana Health Information Exchange named John Kansky as CEO. He has held that role on an interim basis since June, when he replaced Harold Apple. Kansky previously served as IHIE's vice president of strategy and planning. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, a master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Washington, and an MBA from Indiana University.

Indianapolis-based Activate Healthcare, which operates employer health clinics, named Dr. Robert Mandel president of the Northeast Region. Mandel was most recently CEO of Health Dialog, a subsidiary of the Rite Aid drugstore chain. Before that, he was a senior vice president at the Blue Cross health plan in Tennessee. Mandel earned a bachelor’s degree at Princeton University, a medical degree at Johns Hopkins University, and an MBA at the University of Pennsylvania.
