I guess opinions about the proposed development in Chatham Arch depends on which residents you ask [Chatham Arch project gets chilly reception from neighborhood, Dec. 5].
I live in the neighborhood and I think the project is great.
This project is the perfect boundary edge, transitional development. It’s sometimes called “the missing middle.” It transitions the edge of the lower density, lower height neighborhood to the higher density, higher height neighborhood.
This project does it perfectly.
Those who say it is too tall or too dense for the neighborhood are simply uninformed and, quite frankly, acting selfishly with their own personal interests in mind.
That’s not the civic attitude we value in Indianapolis.
