OelschlagerOelschlager, who used the name Julie Pursley at WRTV, is set to join Community Health Network as a communications manager starting Feb. 26, the Indianapolis-based health care provider announced Tuesday.
She is expected to manage, develop and implement communications and marketing plans for Community’s north region.
Oelschlager, a graduate of Warren Central High School and Indiana University, spent almost all of her 17 years at WRTV as a morning news reporter.
She previously worked at WHAS-TV in Louisville and in broadcasting stints in Valparaiso, South Bend, Fort Wayne and Bowling Green, Kentucky.
“Today, I am officially hanging up my microphone at RTV6,” Oelschlager said Monday in a Facebook post.
“I’m headed to Community Health Network to join the Communications Team," she wrote. "I just want to say thank you for allowing me into your homes and to share your stories. It has been an amazing ride, literally, from the front seat of Skycam6 to the backseat of a 2-seater IndyCar.”
Community Health is a $2.2 billion company that operates seven hospitals in Indiana as well as dozens of physician clinics, urgent-care centers and immediate-care clinics.
