Just delete the IPS board and have a state administrator run the thing, like they did with Indiana University. Otherwise, IPS and state government will be forever at odds. Do the takeover and take responsibility; don’t just keep draining the thing and acting like you’re not killing it on purpose.
This says nothing about the criteria for approving the schools or the quality of the education received. The quality of the education is the reason IPS is having so many parents looking for options for their kids. There also needs to be more than 1 gifted school. There is always a waiting list at Sidener because they are landlocked and can’t build out. I don’t know what I’d do if it wasn’t for this school. All the teachers were good. But Julie, Mr. Henney, and the IEP in 2016, 2017 were AWESOME! But this was 1 of the VERY FEW IPS gems and a Blue-Ribbon school.
