  1. Another stupid court decision. This case should have been thrown out on day 1. The guy was hospitalized for being shit-faced. “An expert witness at the trial noted that alcoholics can have a high tolerance for large amounts of alcohol.” Obviously, this guy did not have a high enough tolerance twice in the same day. Here’s my expert testimony, if you are stupid enough to grab onto a moving bus, it’s your fault if you get hurt.

    1. It sounds like Indygo blew it when the driver was totally unaware the man was even there. Yes the man was most likely drunk to gills, but the driver has some obligation to be aware of what is going on around his bus.

Mostly likely the diver was aware and like the first bus just wanted to avoid having a drunken passenger..

    2. Dan, I think I agree DEPENDING on how the amount of time that passed after the driver was deposed.

  2. I find it mind blowing that we can’t hold people responsible for some of their poor decisions (the drunk guy), but instead want to blame someone else and then expect restitution.

    1. That’s the American Way. Somebody is always responsible and the fingers are pointed. You can’t fix stupid.

    2. Thank your Democrat friends and neighbors. BTW, when you hear those same people wailing that the Judiciary is being attacked!! this is an example, along with Democrat hero Mark Stoner, of maybe the judiciary DOES need some accountability

    3. Yes, thank Democrats for the decision of a court full of Republican-appointed justices. A decision that hurts a municipal corporation of a predominately Democratic city, no less.

      lol, chuck.

  3. It’s easy to say this is a stupid decision. It may well be…but I didn’t hear the evidence.
A jury of our peers did hear the evidence, and awarded the judgment.

Take care as you trash the jury system. It’s a hopelessly broken mess, but it beats the alternatives. It certainly beats a Work Comp style compensation system where our Indiana legislature would decide the results…
