Indiana University this week announced plans for the Kinsey-Kelley Center for Gender Equity in Business through a partnership between the Kinsey Institute and the Kelley School of Business.

IU said the center that will address issues of gender inequity, sexual misconduct and sexual harassment in the workplace.

The creation of the center coincides with the 75th anniversary of the Kinsey Institute, which is widely known for its research in human sexuality and relationships.

IU President Pamela Whitten said the center will prepare graduates “to be fair and equitable employees and business leaders.”

Dean of the Kelley School of Business Idalene “Idie” Kesner said in written remarks that organizations that are inclusive in terms of gender and racial diversity make better business decisions and more money.

“Education is key in creating a culture where everyone is valued for their contributions and feels safe in their work environment,” Kesner said. “Through the work of the Kinsey-Kelley Center, we can begin to empower women and others to become agents of change.”

Correction: An earlier version of this story mentioned several new programs and incorrectly said they would offered by the new Kinsey-Kelley Center for Gender Equity in Business. Those programs are being offered only by the Kinsey Institute.

    1. Yeah, trying to make the world more fair and equitable… why should we have any interest in that?

    2. Steve D.
You don’t need a Gender Equity degree for that. This whole mantra of
everything must be DEI INSINUATES that companies are not operating
      in non discriminatory manner.

That some how we need a gender equity officer to ensure fairness.
Just more Wokeism from our Woke crowd.
