Rose Acre Farms Inc. chief operating officer Tony Wesner said the new building in Seymour, about 60 miles south of Indianapolis, is needed because the company has outgrown its current office space a few miles outside the city.
About 80 employees will move into the new headquarters when it opens by early next year, the Seymour Tribune reported. Company officials say no new jobs are immediately planned but the building is designed to be easily expanded in the future.
Rose Acre Farms was founded in 1939 and is among the country's largest egg producers, with 17 facilities and about 1,900 employees in six states.
