Terre Haute-based Thompson Thrift Retail Group said on Friday that it is seeking approval from the city of Fishers to build 252 units, to go along with 120,000 square feet of retail, two hotels and a three-story parking garage.
“We are excited about incorporating this use into the project, which will further serve to make The Yard at Fishers District a one-of-a-kind destination and gathering place for the community,” said Ashlee Boyd, Thompson Thrift’s managing partner, in a press release.
The apartments would be developed by Watermark Residential, the multifamily division of Thompson Thrift.
The Yard is expected to include as many as 25 to 30 food and entertainment businesses in the development on 116th Street east of Interstate 69 and the adjacent Ikea. The 28-home Sprindale Estates neighborhood has been razed to create room for the development.
Last month, Sun King Brewing Co. announced that it would open a 13,000-square-foot specialty production craft brewery and tap room at the culinary-centric project by late spring 2019.
Two existing concepts from St. Elmo Steak House operator Craig Huse—Burger Study and 1933 Lounge—will also open at The Yard in 2019.
Earlier in January, Miami-based eatery operator Hip Cuisine Inc. announced it would open Rawkin Juice at the development.
