If Hogsett is reelected then we are in for another rough couple years. We need a change. Whatever he is doing now just isn’t working. He has only been present the last couple months because it is election season. He is absent and not fit for this job.

I think you might want to reassess that given how poor the Republican candidates have been during the last three elections.
The party replaced a successful Republican mayor who won two terms with a guy who owned a sandwich shop with no political experience.
James Merritt ran a catastrophically bad campaign. Reminder, he did so badly that Republicans lost all throughout the county using maps they had drawn to their political advantage.
But the problem is minorities won’t vote for a good candidate. OK.
The choiceS for mayor this year are not much better.
When I look at the Republicans offered for the City County Council in my district, it’s choosing the least bad option, not the best candidate. My choices are a Tony Katz wannabe, an election denier whose campaign flyers only proved how ignorant she was, and someone else. Someone else is getting my vote later today.
Another reminder, I find the Marion County Republican party and the Indiana Democratic Party are roughly equivalent with their futility at doing their jobs.

Indiana is the epitome of ignorance with representatives such as Freeman. A basic GOP tenet is local control yet when a local entity such as the city of Indianapolis proposes an aspect to improve the health and safety of its residents, a state representative with not engineering, planning, nor design expertise can strike down a well studied data driven plan that is reflective of a national issue with ROT in urban areas
As for the comment that minorities would not vote for a republican is absolutely ridiculous and wrong. To make such an ignorant statement is a blatant generalization based on the false assumption that all minorities will only vote for a minority or a democrat. Perhaps the quality, rhetoric, and plans of some republicans (including black republican) have proven too asinine for them to merit further consideration. Generalization area wrong — should one assume that all non-minorities are racist adherents to white supremacist replacement theories and have stockpiles firearms ready for a civil war focused on removing all those unlike them.
