    1. Article doesn’t say MHG is out of the deal.
Either way just want to see this project finished.

  1. Clearly a deal where the developers were in way over their heads but kudos to Speedway for at least holding them to some level of accountability, unlike Carmel where a 45% cost overrun is apparently not grounds for heads to roll.

  2. I can’t for the life in me not understand why city officials didn’t do their homework on these contractors before awarding the Bid to clearly amateurs? This is an embarrassment on all levels and there’s plenty of blame to go around. The entire area around the track should be developed like the strip in Vegas for race fans. There should be tons of family and adult entertainment everywhere like Vegas.Indy500 is suppose to be the racing Mecca of the world but it hasn’t lived up to that if you ride around the place.Doesnt meet expectations

    1. Kevin, as a local I have to agree. It sucks to say that but it’s really true. Only in the last FEW YEARS was there anything to do at all in Speedway. The karting track, breweries, and BBQ restaurant are great additions but Speedway could be more. Things are moving in the right direction though, and I’d like to see more growth around the track but that’s a big ask.
